Christian Benteke and Roberto Firmino both looked in good shape as they were put through their paces in Liverpool training this week.

Brendan Rodgers’ men were in action at Melwood as they continue their preparations for the forthcoming Premier League season.

The Merseyside outfit are looking to build on their sixth-placed finish in the Premier League last season as Rodgers looks to steer his side back into the Champions League.

Also pictured in action during the training session were the likes of Jordan Henderson and Alberto Moreno.

The Reds take on Helsinki and Swindon Town in their remaining pre-season friendlies in the coming days.

Liverpool kick off their Premier League campaign with a trip to Stoke City on the opening weekend of the season, after they lost 6-1 to the Potters in their final outing last season.
