Christian Eriksen is pleased to be back in Tottenham training...

Christian Eriksen took to social media on Tuesday to reveal his delight at returning to Tottenham Hotspur for pre-season training after his summer holiday.

The Spurs star enjoyed some well-earned downtime with his girlfriend in recent weeks as he wound down after the end of the 2014-15 campaign.

But the Denmark international was clearly thrilled to be back in north London as Mauricio Pochettino’s men continue their preparations for the new campaign.

The 23-year-old Eriksen shared the picture above on his Instagram account and wrote: “Great to be back! #coys #spurs #runrunrunrun #23”

Eriksen scored three goals and made 10 assists in 38 Premier League games, featuring in each of the north London side’s top-flight matches last term.

The Denmark international has been a huge hit at the League Cup runners-up after he moved to Spurs from Ajax in an £11m deal in 2013.

Eriksen has scored 17 goals in 58 Premier League appearances following his switch to north London outfit two summers ago.
