Juan Mata says he can’t wait for the start of the new Premier League season.

The Red Devils start their campaign with a clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Saturday 7 August.

Louis van Gaal led the 20-time English champions to a fourth-place finish in the Premier League in his first season in charge of the Red Devils.

And Mata, who was signed in a £37.1m deal from Chelsea in January 2013, is feeling positive ahead of the 2015/16 campaign.

Mata wrote on his Instagram page: “8 days until the @premierleague starts… Can’t wait! @manchesterunited #8”

Mata has scored 15 goals in 48 Premier League games for the Red Devils after he moved to United from Chelsea a year and a half ago.
