Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno is missing his pet dog, Ali, on pre-season tour in Australia

Alberto Moreno can’t wait to be reunited with his pet dog after the Liverpool defender uploaded an Instagram post dedicated to the English bull terrier.

The Spain international is currently away with the Liverpool squad on their pre-season tour of Asia and Australia ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

Moreno bought his dog, Ali, during his first season in the Premier League and she has featured heavily in his Instagram posts over the past nine months.

And unsurprisingly, Moreno was pining for his adorable pet despite being named on the bench for Liverpool’s clash against Brisbane Roar.

Moreno wrote on the photo-sharing app: “Looking forward to seeing my fatty”

The Liverpool star scored two goals in 41 appearances in all competitions for Brendan Rodgers’ side this season, establishing himself as the club’s first-choice left-back.
