Martin Skrtel is not happy about his holidays coming to an end...

The holidays are over and Martin Skrtel doesn’t seem too happy about it.

The Liverpool defender has been enjoying his summer break after the end of the 2014-15 season but is due to report for Liverpool training in the coming days as Brendan Rodgers looks to transform his side into top-four contenders next season.

And the centre-half did not look to pleased about his holiday coming to an end, as he posted the picture above on his Instagram account on Sunday night and wrote: “Current mood…face when your holidays just finished.”

Skrtel, who joined Liverpool from Zenit St Petersburg in 2007, scored one goal in 30 Premier League appearances last season, racking up 2,700 top-flight minutes.

The Liverpool centre-half as a key part of the Merseyside outfit’s title bid in the 2013-14 season, scoring seven times in 36 league games.

Skrtel reaffirmed his commitment to Liverpool with a contract extension last weeks after speculation suggested the former Zenit St Petersburg man could leave Anfield this summer.
