Roberto Soldado salutes Younes Kaboul and Benjamin Stambouli after the duo leave Tottenham Hotspur
Roberto Soldado took to social media to send good luck messages to Younes Kaboul and Benjamin Stambouli after the duo secured transfers away from Tottenham Hotspur this week.
Kaboul joined Sunderland from Spurs after his second stint at White Hart Lane, signing a four-year contract with the Black Cats and linking up with former Tottenham man Jermain Defore.
Stambouli, meanwhile, completed a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday as he signed a five-year contract with the Ligue 1 champions, after just one season with Spurs.
Tottenham striker Soldado, who himself has been linked with a transfer away from White Hart Lane this summer, used his Instagram account to pay tribute to the departing duo on Tuesday morning.
Soldado shared the photos above and wrote: “All the to my friends @benjaminstambouli and #kaboul Good professionals and very good guys. Good luck!!”
Soldado has scored a mere seven goals in 52 Premier League appearances following his move to the club two years ago.
He made just 17 starts for the League Cup runners-up last term, being used largely as an option from the bench.
Tottenham kick off their Premier League campaign with a trip to Manchester United on 8 August.
