Mousa Dembele has delivered some good news to Tottenham Hotspur supporters on Twitter after he appeared to commit his future to Spurs.

The Belgium international has been linked with a move to Sunderland in recent days after the Black Cats reportedly made an approach for the Tottenham midfielder.

Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat has already spent £15m in the summer transfer window following the arrival of Dutch international Jeremain Lens.

Former Tottenham captain Younes Kaboul has also swapped White Hart Lane for the Stadium of Light in a £3m transfer earlier this month.

However, Dembele looks unlikely to follow his former team-mate in the same direction after he spoke of his excitement ahead of the new season with the north London side.

Dembele moved to Tottenham from Fulham in 2013 after Andre Villas-Boas activated the midfielder’s £15m release clause.
