Usain Bolt has welcomed Manchester United's signing of Bastian Schweinsteiger

Usain Bolt has taken to social media to reveal his delight at Manchester United’s agreed deal to sign Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern Munich.

The Red Devils announced that they had clinched a deal, believed to be worth around £14m, to land the World Cup winner on Saturday after plenty of speculation linking him with a transfer to Old Trafford.

And Manchester United supporter Bolt was quick to voice his delight at seeing Schweinsteiger head to Old Trafford ahead of Louis van Gaal’s second season in charge at the club.

Bolt shared the picture above of the midfielder mimicking his trademark pose on his Instagram account and wrote: “I want to take this time to welcome @bastianschweinsteiger to @manchesterunited I sure u will help us to be victorious this season. #ForeverFaster #seriousface”

Schweinsteiger has one year remaining on his current Bayern contract and it is understood that he will command a transfer fee in the region of £14m.

The Germany midfielder has scored 67 goals in 500 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga champions.
