Danny Ings and James Milner get stuck into Liverpool training in Thailand ahead of their first pre-season game

Danny Ings and James Milner didn’t hold back in Liverpool’s first training session in Thailand ahead of their opening pre-season game of their tour.

The Reds striker will be looking to impress Brendan Rodgers with Raheem Sterling’s spot in the first-team up for grabs after Liverpool accepted a reported £49m offer from Manchester City.

Milner, meanwhile, made the switch from the Citizens to Anfield earlier this month after the England international opted to join Liverpool ahead of FA Cup winners Arsenal.

The 27-year-old midfielder spent part of the session chasing the former Burnley forward, who scored 12 goals in 35 top-flight games last season.

Adam Bogdan, who joined Liverpool from Bolton Wanderers in a free transfer on 1 July, trained alongside his rival Simon Mignolet during a goalkeeping session.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers was snapped having a chat with his new captain Jordan Henderson and Milner ahead of their pre-season game against True Thai Premier League All Stars.
