Mesut Ozil has issued a rallying cry to his Arsenal team-mates ahead of The Emirates Cup on Saturday.

The Gunners start their own tournament with a game against Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais later this afternoon.

Arsene Wenger’s men will face Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg in their final game of The Emirates Cup on Sunday afternoon.

And Arsenal’s record signing Ozil can’t wait to return to action on the Emirates Stadium pitch.

Ozil wrote on his Instagram page: “Happy about returning to our Gunners living room tomorrow. Looking forward to have #Wolfsburg, #Lyon & #Villareal as our guests. Let’s all make sure the @emirates cup stays in London!🏆✊ #emiratescup #YaGunnersYa”

The Gunners won successive FA Cup crowns in May after a 4-0 victory over Aston Villa in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

Arsenal finished in third place in the Premier League last season after a strong conclusion to the end of the 2014/15 campaign.

Ozil scored four goals in 22 Premier League games last term after the Germany international endured an injury-hit campaign.

The World Cup winner moved to Arsenal in a £42.5m deal from Real Madrid in 2013.
