PSG star welcomes Man United’s Angel di Maria

Zlatan Ibrahimovic welcomes Angel di Maria to Paris Saint-Germain as he continues to be linked with a Manchester United exit

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has welcomed Angel di Maria to Paris Saint-Germain as the speculation linking the Manchester United winger with a transfer to the French club intensifies.

The Argentina international has been heavily linked with a move to the Ligue 1 outfit in recent days after his disappointing debut campaign in the Premier League.

PSG are reported to have been readying a £47m bid for the former Real Madrid man in a bid to lure him away from Old Trafford.

Louis van Gaal admitted on Saturday night that he was in the dark about Di Maria’s situation after he was supposed to join up with the Red Devils on their pre-season tour over the weekend.

Now, it appears his transfer to Paris looks to be edging ever close, with Ibrahimovic welcoming the winger to the French club.

“Welcome to him, he will bring his qualities, he is a good player,” Ibrahimovic told Le Parisien. “With him the team will be better.”

Manchester United kick off their Premier League campaign against Tottenham Hotspur on the opening weekend of the season.
