Watch Chelsea defender hit the gym solo ahead of pre-season
Chelsea captain John Terry enjoys a gym session on his own ahead of the new Premier League season on Tuesday night
The Premier League may be eight weeks away but Chelsea captain John Terry is still leading by example.
The 34-year-old centre-half turned back the clock with a series of dominant performances for the west London side as Chelsea won their fourth Premier League title last season.
Terry, who was struggling under Rafael Benitez before Jose Mourinho’s return in 2013, scored five goals as the former England international featured in each of Chelsea’s Premier League games last term.
And the 34-year-old revealed the secret behind his success as the Blues defender hit the gym alone on Tuesday night.
Terry wrote: “Session 2 complete. Carb me up for dinner tonight. #powerbeats @nikefootball”
Mourinho’s captain was named in the PFA team of the year last season.
Terry has scored 62 times in 670 appearances for Chelsea during a 17-season career at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues skipper has won four Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups, the Champions League and the Europa League at the west London club.
