Watch Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge step up rehab training

Liverpool supporters will welcome the sight of Daniel Sturridge dribbling ahead of his return to full training

Daniel Sturridge handed Liverpool a boost ahead of the Premier League’s return after the Reds striker stepped up his rehabilitation from a hip operation.

The 25-year-old endured a forgettable 2014/15 campaign after Sturridge was limited to just 12 Premier League appearances in an injury-hit season.

The England international, who could only manage four league strikes last season, underwent an operation to solve a troublesome hip problem in May.

Sturridge has been recovering from the procedure stateside, and the Liverpool striker started to dribble with the ball during his latest session.

The Liverpool man posted the above clip on YouTube and entitled the video: “Starting to dribble again.”

The 25-year-old forward also posted the below video from his session in the gym as he gave Liverpool fans an insight into his rehab work on YouTube.

Sturridge scored 21 goals in 29 appearances as the England striker and Luis Suarez fired the Reds to within four points of Premier League glory.

The former Manchester City man has netted 35 times in 55 league games for Liverpool following his £12m move to Anfield from Chelsea in January 2013.
