Arsenal star Petr Cech takes to Twitter after West Ham defeat

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech takes to Twitter after a disappointing 2-0 defeat by West Ham on his debut

Petr Cech admitted Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat by West Ham United wasn’t “in the script” after the Gunners suffered an early setback in their Premier League title bid.

The Hammers edged into a first-half lead after Cheikhou Kouyate beat Cech to a set-piece delivery and guided a header past the stranded Arsenal goalkeeper.

West Ham forward Mauro Zarate doubled the away side’s lead in the second half after the Uruguay international caught Cech out at his near post on his Emirates Stadium debut.

And Cech, who moved to Arsenal from Chelsea in an £11m deal earlier this summer, took to Twitter following the disappointing result at The Emirates.

The Gunners have already lost ground on their title rivals Manchester United, who were 1-0 winners against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
