Arsenal transfers: Guillem Balague delivers Karim Benzema update
Guillem Balague says there is no chance Arsenal target Karim Benzema will be allowed to leave Real Madrid
Arsenal target Karim Benzema won’t be allowed to leave Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, according to Guillem Balague.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for the France international throughout the summer amid reports new Madrid manager Rafael Benitez is willing to sell the striker.
Benzema is thought to command an asking price in the region of £30m, which would make the Frenchman Arsenal’s third most-expensive signing behind Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
However, La Liga expert Balague ruled out Benzema leaving the 10-time European champions to join FA Cup holders Arsenal.
By the way, nobody at Real Madrid expects Benzema to leave…

The former Lyon striker scored 15 goals in 29 La Liga appearances for Los Blancos last season.
The 27-year-old striker has won La Liga, the Champions League and three Copa del Rey titles during a six-year stay in the Spanish capital.
Arsenal were 2-1 winners against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon courtesy of goals from Olivier Giroud and a Damien Delaney own goal.
