Arsenal transfers: Gunners looking to sign at least two players, claims journalist

Arsenal could be set for a busy few days in the transfer window...

Arsenal are hoping to sign “two or three” players before Tuesday’s transfer deadline, according to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli.

The Gunners have been linked with a host of players over the course of the summer but have so far only brought in Petr Cech from Chelsea.

Arsenal are thought to be keeping tabs on the likes of Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema and Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani.

And journalist Giulianelli says the Gunners are on the lookout for at least a couple of players before the close of the transfer window at 18:00 BST on Tuesday.

The Gunners have taken just four points from their opening three games after losing their first match against West Ham United at Emirates Stadium earlier this month.

Arsenal will face Bayern Munich, Olympiacos and Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League group stage after Thursday’s draw was made in Monaco.
