Arsenal transfers: Kaka doubts Real Madrid will sell Karim Benzema
Former Real Madrid playmaker Kaka runs the rule over reports linking Karim Benzema with Arsenal
Kaka says he doesn’t expect Real Madrid to allow Karim Benzema to join Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The Gunners failed to trouble the West Ham defence on Sunday as the north London side suffered a surprise 2-0 defeat by the Hammers at Emirates Stadium.
Arsene Wenger has been linked with a move for France international Benzema in recent weeks amid uncertainty surrounding the forward’s Real Madrid future.
The Brazil international doubts 10-time European champions Madrid would grant the 27-year-old forward to move away from The Bernabeu.
“I think Benzema is one of the best forwards at this moment so I don’t think Real Madrid will give him away so easily,” Kaka is quoted as saying by talkSPORT.
“But Karim Benzema is a very good player and if he can have the opportunity to go to Arsenal then Arsenal will take a very, very good player.”
The former Lyon striker scored 15 goals in 29 La Liga appearances for Los Blancos last season.
