Arsenal transfers: Karim Benzema discusses his future

Karim Benzema appears to be fully committed to Real Madrid despite the transfer speculation linking him with Arsenal

Karim Benzema has once again reiterated his commitment to Real Madrid by insisting that he is looking forward to helping the Spanish side win trophies this season.

The France international has been heavily linked with a potential summer move to Arsenal in recent weeks as Arsene Wenger considers bolstering his attacking options at Emirates Stadium.

The reports linking Benzema with Arsenal have continued this month despite Wenger’s public insistence that the Gunners have not made an approach for the player.

Benzema himself has used social media to commit his future to Real Madrid over the last few weeks.

Now, in a move that looks set to put the rumours to bed once and for all, Benzema has stressed his commitment to Real Madrid.

Speaking to Real Madrid’s website this weekend, Benzema said: “I feel good, I’m 100 per cent confident and I want to help the team to win trophies.

“I have confidence in the coach and he has confidence in me.”

Arsenal moved up to fifth place in the Premier League table with a 1-0 win over Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Saturday afternoon.
