Bilic delivers latest West Ham injury update ahead of Liverpool clash
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic says Diafra Sakho should return to face Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday afternoon
Slaven Bilic is optimistic West Ham United forward Diafra Sakho should be ready to return to action against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
The Senegal international felt a groin problem after a 4-3 defeat by newly-promoted Bournemouth at Upton Park last weekend.
Sakho, who has scored 10 Premier League goals since his move to Upton Park last year, featured in West Ham’s opening three games of the season.
And Hammers boss Bilic confirmed the 25-year-old striker should face Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday despite the off-field controversy.
SB: "We are hoping Diafra will be available for Saturday. He's felt a little stiffness in his groin but it is not major."

SB: "For Saturday, up front we have a few injuries and we have limited options. It looks like Sakho is going to be ok for Liverpool."

Sakho scored in a 3-1 victory over Liverpool at Upton Park last season.
The African, who is still waiting to net his first Premier League goals this term, scored twice in West Ham’s short-lived Europa League campaign.
Bilic added that former Liverpool striker Andy Carroll is set to return to training following his latest injury setback.
SB: "Today Andy Carroll is going to train with us and he's improving. He's injury free, it's only a matter of fitness now to get him back."
