Cole and more: Twitter reacts after Pedro scores on Chelsea debut
Andy Cole and Jermaine Jenas react after Pedro Rodriguez breaks the deadlock for Chelsea on his Premier League debut
Pedro Rodriguez broke the deadlock for Chelsea on his Premier League debut after he completed a move to Stamford Bridge from Barcelona on Thursday.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho opted to start his £21.1m signing for the trip to West Bromwich Albion, and the 27-year-old broke the deadlock in the 20th minute with a deflected strike past Boaz Myhil.
Here is a selection of the best Twitter reaction from the professionals, past and present, in chronological order to the Chelsea forward’s first goal.
Football journalist Henry Winter is particularly impressed with Pedro’s first-half efforts:
Pedro…scored one, made one. Not a bad #cfc debut so far. A team player with assists & goals. Early days but already looks embedded in team
