Former Liverpool striker Don Hutchinson believes Manchester United should have signed Chelsea star Pedro Rodriguez
Don Hutchinson has questioned why Manchester United didn’t sign Pedro Rodriguez after reports suggest the Red Devils will sign Anthony Martial.
The 20-time English champions were heavily linked with a move for the World Cup winner before Chelsea completed a £21.1m deal to sign the Spain international from Barcelona earlier this month.
According to BBC Sport, United are set to complete the £36m signing of 19-year-old Monaco forward Martial before the close of the summer transfer window.
However, former Liverpool striker Hutchinson is unsure why Louis van Gaal didn’t go all out to sign experienced Pedro instead of paying a big fee for an untested French centre-forward.
Why the Fook if Man U are gonna pay 36 million pounds for the Monaco kid AM….Did they not pay the money for Pedro. #desperateLVG

Pedro made an instant impact for the defending Premier League champions after he scored in a 3-2 victory at West Bromwich Albion on his debut.
Van Gaal has signed five players in the summer transfer window after he snapped up Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin, Matteo Darmian, Sergio Romero and Memphis Depay.
