Former Man United man reacts to Charlie Austin reports
Former Man United man Alan Tonge believes someone is winding up Red Devils fans after latest transfer rumours
Alan Tonge has joked that someone is winding up Manchester United fans after the Red Devils were linked with a £15m move to bring Charlie Austin to Old Trafford.
Louis van Gaal has been left frustrated in his search for a striker to help United captain Wayne Rooney with the workload upfront after Pedro Rodriguez joined Chelsea in a £21.1m deal from Barcelona earlier this month.
Reports over the past 24 hours have linked the 20-time English champions with a surprise move for Queens Park Rangers striker Austin, with some bookmakers slashing odds on the striker to join United to a narrow 4/7 ahead of the transfer deadline.
And former Man United man Tonge can’t keep up with all the transfer speculation surrounding Old Trafford ahead of Tuesday’s cut-off point.
Charlie Austin now 4/7 to join Man United with Sky Bet. Is he Utd standard?

In the last hour I've read we're in for Austin and Allegro and Cort and Martial. Someone's on a mega wind up 😂

Van Gaal has signed Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin, Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian and Sergio Romero in the summer transfer window.
