Gullit, Lineker and more: Twitter reacts as Chelsea lose to Crystal Palace
Ruud Gullit and Gary Lineker both tweet their thoughts as Chelsea suffer a shock 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea suffered a shock 2-1 defeat by Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Saturday as the defending champions fell eight points behind leaders Manchester City.
After a goalless first half at Stamford Bridge, the visitors took the lead in the 60th minute when Bakary Sako fired home after Yannick Bolasie’s low cross.
Summer signing Radamel Falcao headed in his first goal for the club to equalise in the 79th minute, but the Eagles regained the lead immediately as Joel Ward netted a late winner.
The loss was Jose Mourinho’s second home defeat in the Premier League during his spells at Chelsea, and it prompted plenty of activity on Twitter.
Gary Linker reacts to Falcao’s equaliser at Stamford Bridge as he gets the home side back into it:
What the Falcao! Radamel has scored his first goal for Chelsea.
