Jamie Redknapp believes Chelsea’s superior winning mentality will be enough to see the Blues retain their Premier League title.

Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United have all strengthened their squads in the summer transfer window in a bid to overhaul the defending Premier League champions.

But former Liverpool and Tottenham midfielder Redknapp reckons Chelsea will have too much for their rivals and will win a fifth Premier League crown.

“I think they’ll be pushed much harder this season by Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.

“However, when push comes to shove, Jose Mourinho’s team have the winning mentality that is needed.”

Mourinho signed Colombia international Radamel Falcao on a season-long loan from Ligue 1 side Monaco despite the striker’s miserable season at Manchester United last term.

The Chelsea manager also signed Asmir Begovic in an £8m deal from Stoke City after Petr Cech completed an £11m move to bitter rivals Arsenal.
