Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand says Anthony Martial has big potential amid reports of £36m move
Rio Ferdinand says Manchester United target Anthony Martial has big potential amid reports of the Monaco striker moving to Old Trafford in a £36m deal.
The uncapped France forward has emerged as a surprise contender to bolster United’s attacking options as Javier Hernandez reportedly edges closer to a move to Bayer Leverkusen.
The 19-year-old scored eight goals in his last nine appearances for Monaco last season, although the teenager netted just 12 times in 46 appearances in all competitions.
However, former United defender Ferdinand appeared to endorse the Red Devils’s apparent move for the France Under-21 international on Twitter.
