Luis Enrique says that he his hoping for a quick resolution to the speculation surrounding Pedro Rodriguez’s future at Barcelona as he continues to be linked with a transfer to Manchester United.
The 28-year-old forward has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent days as Louis van Gaal bids to bolster his attacking options ahead of the close of the summer transfer window.
The latest media reports in Spain have claimed that United are willing to match Pedro’s £22m release clause as they look to bring him to Old Trafford.
And Barcelona boss Enrique has said that he expects the speculation surrounding Pedro’s future to come to an end “soon”.
Speaking at a news conference ahead of Tuesday’s Uefa Super Cup clash with Sevilla, Enrique said: “I would have liked to have had all the players available all season.
“Now there is too much talk about Pedro.
“The solution will come soon because the transfer market closes soon.”
