Man United transfers: Louis van Gaal eyes Angel di Maria replacement
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal wants a player with 'speed and creativity' following Angel di Maria's exit
Louis van Gaal says Manchester United need to sign a creative player with pace to replace Angel di Maria.
The Argentina international completed a much-anticipated move to the Ligue 1 champions from the Red Devils on Thursday afternoon.
We have to look for that kind of player

Van Gaal has already spent nearly £80m in the summer transfer window after he signed Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin, Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian and Sergio Romero.
But the United manager is adamant that the Red Devils need to enter the “crazy” transfer market to find a player with the attributes to fill the void left by their former British record signing.
“The squad is still in process because we are living in a crazy football world,” Van Gaal told United’s website.
“The transfer period is still going on and the competition is starting. Di Maria, we have solved that problem, but it is a big loss because I want attackers with speed and creativity. He is one of those players. We have to look for that kind of player.”
The 20-time English champions have been linked with a £25m move for World Cup winner Pedro Rodriguez after the Spain international fell down the pecking order under Barcelona manager Luis Enrique.
The Red Devils have also been linked with a big-money move for Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale, who moved to The Bernabeu in a £85.3m deal in 2013.
