Man United transfers: Luis Enrique reacts to Neymar speculation
Barcelona manager Luis Enrique says he is not concerned by rumours linking Neymar with a move to Manchester United
Luis Enrique isn’t paying any attention to rumours linking Manchester United with a move for Neymar this summer.
The Red Devils were linked with a big-money bid for the Brazil international over the weekend after Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriguz opted to join Chelsea ahead of United.
United chief executive was reported in the British media to have held secret talks with La Liga champions Barcelona over a deal to sign the 23-year-old South American forward.
But speaking after Barcelona’s 1-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao on Sunday, Enrique was quick to dismiss the transfer speculation surrounding one of his key men.
“I heard Neymar and another club and I am no longer interested in this question,” Enrique told the media in his post-match media conference.
“I don’t talk about rumours and this kind of thing. I am just focused on analysing my team. In perfect English – you got it?”
Neymar has scored 31 goals in 59 appearances for Barcelona during two seasons at Camp Nou following his £75m switch from Santos in 2013.
