Man United transfers: Van Gaal must resolve De Gea saga ASAP, says ex-Red Devil
Alan Tonge says Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal needs to resolve David De Gea's future quickly
Louis van Gaal must resolve the uncertainty surrounding Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea as soon as possible, says Alan Tonge.
The Spain international isn’t expected to start against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Friday night after the goalkeeper suggested that he wasn’t mentally ready to line-up for Red Devils.
De Gea was demoted to the stands for their 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on the opening day of the new Premier League season amid continued reports of interest from Real Madrid.
But former Red Devil Tonge urged Van Gaal to find a solution to the ongoing transfer saga which has rumbled on since the end of the 2014/15 season.
We need to get the De Gea situation sorted as soon as possible. It will most definitely be creating distraction/unrest in the dressing room.

United sealed three points in their opening game of the season on Saturday after Spurs defender Kyle Walker prodded the ball past his own goalkeeper under pressure from Wayne Rooney in the first half.
Van Gaal has signed five players in the summer transfer window, spending nearly £80m.
