Speaking at his farewell news conference in Barcelona on Monday, Pedro told reporters: Chelsea welcome: “They told me I’d have to sing an initiation song. The welcome they gave me was spectacular.
“[John] Terry showed me that he’s a captain with great personality and there are a few players who I already knew like Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and Thibaut Courtois. I am very happy with how it’s all gone so far.”
Pedro also revealed how Blues boss Mourinho helped to convince him to join the Stamford Bridge outfit, despite the Portuguese coach having been one of Barcelona’s rivals as Real Madrid boss during his spell at the Bernabeu.
He added: “I know who he is and what has happened in the past. I liked what he said to me, that he wants to make the team strong and he is counting on me.”
