Alexis Sanchez took to social media on Wednesday night to express his delight at having returned to Arsenal training following his extended summer holiday.

The 26-year-old forward reported back to the Gunners’ London Colney training ground this week after being given some extra time off following his involvement in the Copa America with Chile last month.

Sanchez is now back in pre-season training as he bids to get his fitness levels up to scratch ahead of the forthcoming 2015-16 campaign.

And although his is likely to miss the visit of West Ham United to Emirates Stadium on Sunday, Sanchez could not hide his delight at being back in action for Arsenal.

Sanchez shared the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Wednesday night and wrote: “Happy to see my teammates and training hard ⚽️ goodnight GUNNERS.”
