Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta sends a message to Chelsea winger Pedro Rodriguez after his move to Stamford Bridge
Andres Iniesta has taken to Instagram to wish Pedro Rodriguez good luck after the midfielder swapped Barcelona for Chelsea on Thursday afternoon.
The Spain international has completed a move to the Premier League champions after Chelsea agreed a reported £21.1m deal with Barcelona.
Pedro had been previously linked with a move to Chelsea’s bitter rivals Manchester United before Louis van Gaal opted against signing the forward.
And Barcelona midfielder Iniesta had a special message for his now former team-mate on Instagram.
Iniesta wrote: “I wish you all the luck in the word @_pedro_. I will miss you a lot my friend.”
The World Cup winner has won five La Liga crowns, the Champions League three times, and four Copa del Rey crowns during an eight-season run in the Barcelona first-team.
Pedro is Chelsea’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window after Jose Mourinho signed Radamel Falcao, Asmir Begovic, Baha Rahmann and Pedro.
