Arsenal defender Calum Chambers says he has been working hard ahead of the visit of Liverpool on Monday
Calum Chambers says he has been working hard in a bid to force his way into the Arsenal team ahead of the visit of Liverpool.
The Gunners defender hasn’t started a Premier League game this season after Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger stuck with first-choice centre-half pairing Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker.
Arsenal have already conceded three goals in two games after a 2-0 defeat by West Ham United and a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace to start their Premier League campaign.
And Chambers, who moved to Arsenal from Southampton last summer, was quick to take to Instagram to post a photo from their training session at London Colney on Sunday.
Chambers wrote: “Been working hard in training this week! Big game tomorrow #Arsenal”
Chambers has scored one goal in 36 appearances for the north London side following his move to Arsenal.
The England defender has helped the Gunners to win the FA Cup and Community Shield twice since his £16m switch to Emirates Stadium from the Saints.
