Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is ready to face Aston Villa at Villa Park on Friday night
Bastian Schweinsteiger says he can’t wait to make his second Manchester United appearance against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Friday night.
The Germany international made his Red Devils debut as a 60th-minute substitute in their 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford last weekend.
Schweinsteiger, who replaced Michael Carrick in midfield against Spurs, move to United in a £15m deal from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.
And the 31-year-old World Cup winner is eagerly-anticipating United’s next Premier League fixture against Tim Sherwood’s side in Birmingham this evening.
Schweinsteiger wrote on his Instagram page: “Very excited for my second match tomorrow against Aston Villa! @manchesterunited”
The Red Devils will then take on Club Bruges in a two-legged tie later this month as they look to book their place in the group stage of the Champions League.
Louis van Gaal signed five players in the summer transfer window, including Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay in big-money deals.
