Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is homeward bound after a summer of rehabilitation from hip injury in United States
Daniel Sturridge has handed Liverpool a boost ahead of their trip to Arsenal as the Liverpool striker headed back to England after a summer of hard work in United States.
The 25-year-old England international remained stateside following an operation on a troublesome hip operation at the end of last season.
Sturridge has regularly kept his social media followers updated on his progress, posting a series of photos and video clips from his training sessions.
But the Liverpool forward delivered his best news for Reds supporters on Saturday morning after he boarded a flight back to the United Kingdom.
Sturridge wrote: “Feeling OG in my TECH. Home time baby. 👌”
The former Chelsea and Manchester City striker was limited to just 12 Premier League appearances last season, scoring four goals.
Sturridge has scored 29 times in 52 top-flight games for the Reds since his £12m move to Liverpool from Stamford Bridge in 2013.
The Reds forward has a new strike partner this season after Brendan Rodgers signed Christian Benteke in a £32.5m deal from Aston Villa this summer.
