Liverpool defender Emre Can issues a rallying cry ahead of their trip to Stoke City on Sunday afternoon
Emre Can has issued a rallying cry ahead of Liverpool’s clash against Stoke City on Sunday.
The Reds return to the Britannia Stadium just a matter of months after Liverpool suffered a humiliating 6-1 defeat by Stoke on the final day of the Premier League season.
Can endured a particularly forgettable performance at right-back after manager Brendan Rodgers opted to play the Germany Under-21 international out-of-position.
But the versatile Liverpool star is ready to put things right this season after he took to Instagram to post a message ahead of their season opener.
Can wrote: “Ready for the season💪🔝 #ynwa #liverpoool”
The Reds youngster was part of Germany’s squad that reached the semi-finals of European Under-21 championship before a 6-0 defeat by Portugal.

The German scored one goal in 24 Premier League appearances for Liverpool after he moved to the Reds from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen last summer.
Brendan Rodgers has signed eight new players in the summer transfer window, including Christian Benteke and Roberto Firmino.
