Tottenham Hotspur record signing Erik Lamela takes a snap after training amid reports of a move to Porto

Erik Lamela was all smiles as he headed home from training on Saturday despite the uncertainty surrounding the midfielder’s Tottenham Hotspur future.

The Argentina international has struggled to unearth his best form over the past 24 months following his club-record £30.75m move to White Hart Lane from Roma in 2013.

Even the appointment of his compatriot, Mauricio Pochettino, as new Spurs manager failed to spark a significant improvement from the 23-year-old playmaker last term.

Lamela has been linked with a season-long loan move to Portuguese side Porto in recent days.

However, the Tottenham midfielder gave no indication of an imminent move away from the Lilywhites in his latest Twitter post.

Lamela has scored six goals in 56 appearances in all competitions for Spurs since his big-money move.
