John Terry congratulates his team-mates after Chelsea's 3-2 win over West Bromwich Albion on Sunday
John Terry made no mention of his sending off in a post on social media after Chelsea returned to winning ways with a dramatic 3-2 victory at West Bromwich Albion on Sunday afternoon.
Summer signing Pedro Rodriguez inspired Jose Mourinho’s men to victory at The Hawthorns after the disappointment of last weekend’s defeat by Manchester City.
The Spaniard opened the scoring in the 20th minute, before Diego Costa made it 2-0 shortly after.
However, West Brom pulled a goal back through James Morrison before Cesar Azpilicueta made it 3-1 heading into half-time.
Terry was shown a straight red card for a foul on Salomon Rondon, but Morrison’s late header was not enough to inspire a comeback for the home side.
Terry congratulated his team-mates on the victory via a post on Instagram but said nothing about his sending off on Sunday evening.
The former England captain shared the picture above and wrote: “Congratulations @_pedro17_ @cesarazpi @diego.costa on your goals today. Great team performance and a big 3 points. Proud of the team @chelseafc #cfc Big thanks to all our supporters who travelled today.”
