Juan Mata took to social media to reveal his excitement ahead of Manchester United’s Premier League opener against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

The Red Devils are preparing to ring in the 2015-16 with their lunchtime clash against Spurs at Old Trafford as they look to get their top-flight campaign off to a winning start.

Saturday’s game will see the debut of United’s new Adidas home shirt – and Mata is clearly relishing the prospect of enjoying some Premier League football once again.

Mata posted the picture above on his Instagram account on Saturday afternoon and wrote: “One day to go. @premierleague @manchesterunited #8”

United boss Louis van Gaal revealed that David De Gea will not start Saturday’s game as he continues to be linked with a transfer to Real Madrid.

The Red Devils, who were drawn against Club Bruges in the Champions League play-off round, are looking to build on their fourth-placed finish in the Premier League after the Dutchman’s debut campaign as United boss.
