Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel digests some of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's autobiography en route to English capital

Martin Skrtel was drawing inspiration from Zlatan Ibrahimovic ahead of Liverpool’s clash against Arsenal at The Emirates on Monday night.

The Reds have made a strong start to the Premier League season after successive clean sheets in 1-0 victories over Stoke City and Bournemouth.

Skrtel has been a key part of two solid defensive performances alongside Dejan Lovren, although their partnership will undergo a stern examination at Arsenal.

And the Liverpool defender brought Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s autobiography, aptly named, ‘I am Zlatan’, on the train to London for some light reading.

Skrtel wrote: “On the way to london,chillin by reading @iamzlatanibrahimovic book…big game tmrw!!!#m37s #liverpoolfc #premierleague #wegoagain #ynwa”

Skrtel has netted 17 times in 295 appearances for Liverpool during an eight-year career at Anfield.

The Slovakia international scored an injury-time winner in a 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Merseyside last season.
