Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo works on his fitness with a kick-about with his friends on Wednesday
Marcos Rojo has enjoyed an extended break from action following his country’s defeat by Chile in July’s Copa America final, but the defender is clearly itching to get back to Premier League action.
Rojo has been back in training since the beginning of August, and has been putting in the extra hours with friends away from United’s Aon Training Complex in Carrington.
United are victims of Argentina’s success for the second season in a row, as Rojo was given extended leave before the 2014/15 campaign after his country made it to the World Cup final.
Rojo wrote on the photo-sharing app: “Good time playing football with my friends”
The defender made 22 league appearances last season following a £16m move from Sporting Lisbon, and has been a regular fixture in the Argentina setup since the age of 21.
With Louis van Gaal short of options at the back so far this season, the sight of Rojo in action will no doubt please the Dutchman.
