Manchester United are looking to break expectations after releasing their new home kit for 2015/16 season
Bastian Schweinsteiger looked pretty chuffed with Manchester United’s new Adidas kit after it was unveiled on Friday.
The Red Devils signed a record £750m deal with the German sportswear brand to sponsor their match kits over the next 10 years.
The 20-time English champions, who finished in fourth place last season, had been working with Adidas’s rivals Nike since 2002.
And United supporters got a glimpse of the new home kit on the club’s Instagram page over the past nine hours following its release.
The Red Devils wrote on the photo-sharing app: “Break expectations. It’s what #mufc do. #BeTheDifference”
England centre-half Phil Jones and Daley Blind were recruited to help unveil the new design for the upcoming 2015/16 campaign.
And the former Blackburn Rovers defender appeared to enjoy the experience after he took to his Instagram page.
Jones wrote: “Adidas kit launch with @blinddaley. Great night! #BeTheDifference”
United manager Louis van Gaal has signed five players in the summer transfer window after leading the Red Devils to a fourth-place finish last term.
The Dutchman has snapped up Daley Blind, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Matteo Darmian, Morgan Schneiderlin and Sergio Romero.
The Red Devils start their Premier League campaign with a home clash against Tottenham Hotspur next weekend.
