Arsenal train at London Colney ahead of their Premier League trip to Newcastle United on Saturday

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looked in good shape as Arsenal were put through their paces in training on Wednesday morning.

Arsene Wenger’s men reported back to their London Colney training base on Wednesday morning after being given the day off following their goalless draw with Liverpool at Emirates Stadium on Monday night.

The Gunners were put through their paces in wet and grey August weather as the north London side gear up for their Premier League trip to Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon.

Arsenal are looking to return to winning was after their stalemate against the Reds, with the Gunners having taken four points from their opening three Premier League games.

Oxlade-Chamberlain was a second-half substitute as Wenger’s men failed to break down the Merseyside outfit as they fired a blank in their second successive home game.

Here are some of the best photos from Wednesday morning’s Arsenal training session at London Colney.
