Photos: Sanchez and Giroud all smiles as Arsenal train ahead of Liverpool clash

Arsenal strikers Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud enjoy their final training session ahead of the visit of Liverpool

Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud appeared in high spirits as Arsenal trained ahead of their clash against Liverpool at The Emirates on Monday night.

The north London side are looking to secure their first Premier League win of the season at Emirates Stadium after a 2-0 loss to West Ham United on the opening day of the season.

Arsenal made amends for that defeat with a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace last weekend as Giroud scored his side’s opener before Sanchez’s header was deflected into the net after the break.

The FA Cup winners have a good record against Liverpool in north London over the past couple of seasons after three successive wins against Brendan Rodgers’ men at Emirates Stadium.

Petr Cech also appeared in decent form as the Arsenal goalkeeper looks to keep his first Premier League clean sheet as a Gooner following his £11m move from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Liverpool, meanwhile, won their opening Premier League games thanks to 1-0 victories over Stoke City and Bournemouth.
