Piers Morgan demands Arsenal sign Karim Benzema after Chelsea win

Piers Morgan is keen to see Arsenal sign Karim Benzema from Real Madrid this summer

Piers Morgan took to social media to urge Arsenal to sign Karim Benzema from Real Madrid this summer following the Gunners’ Community Shield win over Chelsea on Sunday.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored the only goal of the game in the 24th minute at Wembley when he fired his shot into the top-left corner from inside the box.

There has been plenty of speculation linking Arsenal with a transfer bid for Benzema in recent weeks as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of the start of the Premier League season.

And celebrity Arsenal fan Morgan is desperate for the Gunners to make an official bid for the Real Madrid striker.

The former Daily Mirror editor posted on Twitter on Sunday afternoon:

Arsenal, who finished third and won the FA Cup last season, kick off their Premier League campaign with a home clash against West Ham United next weekend.
