Reina, De Gea and more: Twitter reacts as Arsenal draw with Liverpool
Pepe Reina and David De Gea had plenty to say on Petr Cech's performance in Arsenal's goalless draw with Liverpool
Petr Cech proved his worth to his new employers as the Arsenal keeper pulled off two world-class saves to keep Liverpool at bay in a pulsating goalless draw.
After a debut to forget, the colossal Czech summer signing denied Christian Benteke at point-blank range before a splendid fingertip save to prevent Philippe Coutinho’s fizzing drive.
Arsenal did have the ball in the net in the opening 45 minutes but Aaron Ramsey was controversially adjudged to be offside.
Liverpool controlled much of the first half, while the Gunners looked the stronger after the interval, but both sides must make do with a point shared.
Social media followed the game intently and here is a selection of tweets about this exciting early-season clash of the Premier League titans.
