A host of Manchester United stars paid tribute to Rafael Da Silva after he signed for Lyon on Monday
Wayne Rooney was among the Manchester United players to take to social media to pay tribute to Rafael Da Silva after the Brazilian full-back completed his transfer to Lyon on Monday.
The full-back fell out of favour under Louis van Gaal last season and was limited to just six Premier League starts as he struggled with injury during the Dutchman’s first campaign in charge at Old Trafford.
The defender joined Lyon in a deal reported to be worth around £2.1m – and a host of his former team-mates used social media to bid farewell to the defender.
United captain Wayne Rooney used his Twitter account to wish Rafael all the best:
@orafa2 good luck rafa. We will all miss you.
