Thierry Henry backs Theo Walcott to shine up front for Arsenal
Thierry Henry says Theo Walcott can star up front for Arsenal in a central striking position
Thierry Henry believes that Theo Walcott has all of the necessary attributes required to shine up in a central striking position for Arsenal this season.
Walcott, who signed a new four-year contract with the north London club last week, has made no secret of his desire to gain regular game-time in his favoured central position for the Gunners.
Does he have the quality to do it? Yes he does

Arsene Wenger has appeared reluctant to give the England international a sustained run up front, instead preferring to deploy Olivier Giroud in that position for much of last season.
However, former Arsenal star Henry is confident that Walcott has what it takes to develop into a top forward for the north London club, as long as he is able to play in that position for a number of consecutive games.
“I saw how much he wants to do it [play up front for Arsenal]. He did it against West Brom and did it against Villa in the FA Cup final,” said Henry, speaking at the launch of The Sun Dream Team in London on Tuesday night.
“It’s a long process. You need to play in that position for not only one game – it’s difficult to find your rhythm if you play one game in the middle and two games on the right… you need to have that consistency to be able to go out there and perform.
“But does he have the quality to do it? Yes he does.”
Arsenal kick off their Premier League campaign with a home clash against West Ham United at Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
