Tottenham transfers: Expert gives latest Heung-Min Son update

Jan Aage Fjortoft reckons Bayer Leverkusen forward Heung-Min Son could be on the brink of a move to Tottenham Hotspur

Jan Aage Fjortoft believes Bayer Leverkusen forward Heung-Min Son could be on the brink of a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

The South Korea international was not part of Leverkusen’s squad for their 3-0 victory over Lazio in the second leg of their Champions League play-off on Wednesday night.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has made no secret of his desire to add a striker to his squad, but Spurs have been left frustrated in their pursuit of West Brom man Saido Berahino.

And Bundesliga expert Fjortoft reckons Son could be in the English capital negotiating a summer move to the White Hart Lane outfit.

The 23-year-old scored 17 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen last season.

Son has netted 29 times in 87 games since his move to the Bundesliga from Hamburger SV in 2013.
