Pedro Rodriguez says he is very happy to be at Chelsea and is hoping to win plenty of silverware at Stamford Bridge.

The Spain international completed a £21.1m move to Chelsea from Barcelona on Thursday afternoon after he had been previously linked with a move to Manchester United.

Pedro is Chelsea’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window after Jose Mourinho signed Asmir Begovic, Baba Rahman and Radamel Falcao earlier in the transfer window.

And the World Cup winner, who has won the Champions League on three occasions, had a special message for Chelsea supporters after his move.

Pedro told Chelsea’s TV channel: “I am very happy to be here. It is very exciting to play for Chelsea and in the Premier League.

“I hope many titles with this team. I want to thank the club and their supporters for this welcome and I am very, very happy to be here.”

Pedro won the 2010 World Cup with Spain before he helped La Roja win back-to-back European champions at Euro 2012.
